CLEG Elections 2011

As of today, there are 20 talented Collegiate Legislature delegates running for 2012 office. Several folks are stepping up and putting their name in the field!

It is not too late to qualify to run for 2012 office! Simply visit the webiste and follow the Officer Qualification links, or just click here to go directly to the web-form.

You may also register to run for office while at the conference by turning in a paper registration form (found in the bill book you will receive at registration) to the Conference Registrar at registration or to Amanda KnightSmith, the 2011 Conference Coordinator.

Qualification for Major Office (Conference Coordinator, Lt. Governor and Speaker) will end at 5:00pm on Thursday while qualification for Minor Office (all other positions) ends at 1:00pm on Friday.

As of 1:45 on Tuesday, March 1st, the following people are running for office:

Conference Coordinator: Kindred Motes – BSC, Jason Sumner, JSU

Lt. Governor: Casey Johnson – UA, Darrick Long – ASU, Alan Waugh – USA)

Speaker of the House: D’Jara Britton – Samford, Richard Carter – ASU, Tory Green – JSU

President Pro Temp: Michael Fitzmorris – UA, Joe Mahoney – UA, Kimber Reeves – BSC, Rachael Wilson – UA

Speaker Pro Temp: Will Clayton – UA, Matthew Copeland – UA, Kyle Doiron – BSC

Senate Floor Leader: Jeff Elrod – UA, Jessica Ezell – UNA, Cameron Hall – Montevallo

House Clerk: Alex Rainwater - JSU

Senate Sgt. at Arms: Mandy Shunnarah – BSC

The offices of House Floor Leader, Senate Secretary, House Sgt. at Arms, Senate Chaplain and House Chaplain are currently uncontested.
